Located in the Triangle Office Building, on the north side of the Rush University Medical Center campus, we have extended office hours with both evening and Saturday appointments available.​

MEET OUR TEAM

Richard I. Adams, MD, is the Associate Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. He completed medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and his residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) with clinical expertise in primary care, preventative care, and physical examinations for adults. He has clinical interests in medical error and uncompensated care.

 

Usama Ahmad, MD, completed medical school at Rush Medical College and his residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) and has clinical expertise in diabetes, high blood pressure, influenza, obesity, and smoking cessation. He is also fluent in Hindi and Urdu.

 

Elizabeth A. Baker, MD, is the Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Internal Medicine. She completed medical school at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and her residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) with clinical expertise in primary care, preventative care, and physical examinations for adults.

 

Rupel Dedhia, MD, completed medical school at Rush Medical College and her residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) and has clinical expertise in diabetes, hypertension, physical examinations, preventative medicine, and primary and preventative care. She is also fluent in Gujarati.

 

Daniel Dunham, MD, completed medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and his residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Internal Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) with clinical expertise in diabetes, heart disease prevention. He has research interests in health outcomes, patient safety, and patient communication.

 

Andem Ekpenyong, MD, is an associate program director of the Internal Medicine residency program.  She completed her medical school training at Rush Medical College and her residency at Rush University Medical Center.  She also obtained a master’s degree in Health Professions Education from University of Illinois.  She has clinical expertise in primary care, preventive care and physical examinations for adults. 

 

Caspian K Folmsbee, MD, completed medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and his residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. He has clinical expertise in end of life care, preventative medicine, and primary and preventatitve care for older adults.

 

Anne Harley, MD, completed medical school at Rush Medical College and her residency at Mount Carmel Health System. She has clinical expertise in diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, pap test, smoking cessation, and women's health. She is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Rush Medical College.

 

Josune Iglesias, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine. She completed medical school at Autonomous University of Guadalajara Medical School in Mexico, and her residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Internal Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) and has clinical expertise in primary care, preventative care, and physical examinations for adults. Additionally, she is fluent in Spanish.

 

Viju T. John, MD, is the Director of the Internal Medicine Core Clerkship. He completed medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and his residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) and has clinical expertise in complementary medicine, diabetes, physical examinations, and primary and preventative care. He is also fluent in Malayalam.

Suchita Kishore, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine. She completed medical school at Rush Medical College and her residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) and has clinical expertise in women's health.

 

Vance Lauderdale, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine. He completed medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and his residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) and has clinical expertise in primary care, preventative care, and physical examinations for adults. He is also fluent in Spanish.

 

Jacqueline D. Leavitt, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine. She completed medical school at Rush Medical College and her residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) and has clinical expertise in primary care, preventative care, and physical examinations for adults.

 

Diane Ryan, MD, completed medical school at Queen's University of Belfast School of Medicine in Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences, and her residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine with clinical expertise in primary care, preventative care, and physical examinations for adults.

 

Syed H. Shah, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine. He completed medical school at Chicago Medical School and his residency at Rush University Medical Center in Internal Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) and has clinical expertise in primary care, preventative care, and physical examinations for adults. He also is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, Swahili, and Urdu.

 

Kelly Stein, MD, completed medical school at Emory University School of Medicine, her residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Internal Medicine, and her fellowships at John Hopkins Hospital in Clinical Pharmacology and Internal Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine (PCP) and has clinical expertise in primary care, preventative care, and physical examinations for adults.
