University Consultants In Allergy & Immunology

University Consultants in Allergy/Immunology is active in patient care, research and clinical trials.  Our board-certified physicians are well qualified to provide state-of-the-art evaluations and care for patients with anaphylaxis, asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, food allergies, immunodeficiency diseases and autoimmune disorders.  The section is active in both basic and clinical research.  It serves as a study site for pharmaceutical trials investigating the latest advances in the treatment of asthma, allergic diseases and immunodeficiencies.

Our practice has a fellow-in-training program.  This refers to a period of 2 years during which the physician trains in allergy and immunology after he or she has completed a residency in internal medicine, pediatrics or an internal medicine/pediatrics program.  Although their training is more advanced than that of residents, fellows treat patients under the supervision of an attending physician-that is, one who has already completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology.  We currently have five attending physicians and five fellows on staff here in our practice.  During your visit to the clinic, you will be seen by a fellow and one of our staff attending physicians.
